T-shirt into skirt

I made this cute little skirt from a mens t-shirt I bought at a thrift store.

I followed the tutorial I found Here.
I just changed it up a bit by adding the white material on the sides for a stripe,  For the scrolls,  I  used freezer paper and cut the scroll shape out....   then  ironed (with shiny side down )  the  negative space of the scroll onto my skirt and painted it with some acrylic paint I had.
Then I made the roses out of the leftover t-shirt and white materials.   and because I wasn't sure how the flowers would hold up in the wash, I just glued them onto a pin.  It will also be good so I can change the flower if I want.
